Dr. Alma Rosibel Cruz joined Allergy & ENT Associates in August, 2019. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is Board Eligible in Allergy and Immunology. She is a member of the American College of Allergy and Immunology as well as the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. She specializes in food allergies, drug allergies (including penicillin), asthma, seasonal allergies, hives, angioedema, eczema, anaphylaxis, and immune deficiencies.

Dr. Cruz is highly-trained in food challenges, allergy testing, penicillin skin testing, as well other drug testing, Rush immunotherapy, and aspirin desensitization. She believes in patient education and dual decision-making. She enjoys attending annual allergy conferences and staying up-to-date on the latest issues.

After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Art History at Tulane University, she received her Masters of Public Health in Tropical Medicine and International Health. She then went to the Medical School for International Health as part of Ben Gurion University in Israel. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA, followed by her fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at Tulane University in New Orleans. She is a New Orleans native and a big Saints fan. She now lives in Houston with her husband, daughter, and dog. She enjoys staying active by swimming and jogging.
