Omid Abbassi, M.D.
About Dr. Abbassi
Dr. Omid Abbassi joined Allergy and ENT Associates in September of 2019. He has practiced general otolaryngology in Texas Medical Center and Pearland since July of 2000. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Abbassi received his Bachelor of Science with highest honors from the University of Texas in chemical engineering followed by his Master of Art in physical chemistry. He then joined the Medical Scientist Training Program sponsored by the National Institute of Health at Baylor College of Medicine and Rice University. Dr. Abbassi received his Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from Rice University in six years. He completed his residency training in Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Fellowship training in Otology-Neurotology at Baylor College of Medicine. During his post graduate education, he also completed his pilot training and became instrument rated in single and multi-engine pilot.
Dr. Abbassi enjoys practicing otolaryngology and interacting with his patients of all ages. He treats patients of all ages including pediatric patients and is interested in Head and Neck Surgery, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Ear Surgery, Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery, and Pediatric Otolaryngology.
